Internet services restored in Pakistan as submarine cable fixed
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Internet services are back to normal in Pakistan after hours-long disruption an international submarine cable has been fixed, said the telecommunication authority.
The internet services in Pakistan were impacted around 10pm yesterday due to dual cut in the terrestrial segment of SEAMEWE-5 between the cities of Abu Talab and Zafrana in Egypt.
Following the disruption, the Pakistan Telecommunication Company Ltd (PTCL) announced that it was in conjunction with the International Submarine Consortium to fully restore internet services on priority.
In latest development, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) confirmed that faults in the submarine cable were repaired.
