'Recreation requires talent' - Adnan Siddiqui slams Bollywood over remixed version of Nazia Hassan's

KARACHI – Actor Adnan Siddique hit out at the Indian film industry, Bollywood, as he is unhappy with the remixed version of an iconic track of the late Pakistani pop singer, Nazia Hassan.

The reaction from the “Meray Paas Tum Ho” star comes after a track of Ayushmann Khurrana’s upcoming film, An Action Hero, featuring Hassan’s Aap Jaisa Koi was released on YouTube.

Zahrah S Khan and Altamash Faridi has sung the remixed version in an attempt to add new beats to the disco song while Bollywood star Malaika Arora has performed on the track.

Nazia Hassan’s iconic song was initially picturised in the 1980 Bollywood film Qurbanion, featuring Zeenat Aman, and the late actors Feroz Khan and Vinod Khanna.

Taking to Twitter, Adnan Siddiqui took a jibe as the Indian movie makers, saying: “Even recreation requires talent”.

Is there something in the air that the world has suddenly developed a penchant for ruining perfect classics? Even re-creation requires talent. Nazia Hassan must be turning in her grave. AapJaisaKoi nahi..
