US Dollar gains ground against PKR

The local currency depreciated by 81 paisa.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Pakistan’s rupee lost ground against the US dollar on fourth business day of the week after a fresh depreciation.
According to details, the local currency depreciated by 81 paisa against the greenback which closed at 221.49. The rupee had closed at Rs220.68 on Wednesday, according to Pakistan’s central bank data.
However, despite the fresh depreciation, the rupee has cumulatively recovered by Rs18.43 from its record low of Rs239.94 against the dollar.
