ECP reserves verdict on Imran Khan's plea against Rs50,000 fine

Imran Khan's counsel argued that his client did not violate ECP’s code of conduct.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Monday reserved Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on plea against Rs50,000 fine imposed on him.
According to details, three member bench of the ECP held hearing on the plea against decision of District Monitoring Officer Peshawar.
During the hearing, Imran Khan’s counsel argued that his client did not violate ECP’s code of conduct nor did he used state machinery.
He further argued that if state resources are used, than a public office holder is served a notice not the election contender.
