Peshawar Zalmi announces Talent Hunt Program in UK and Europe
PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Pakistan Super League’s biggest franchise (In terms of media and brand value), Peshawar Zalmi while taking another spectacular initiative has become the first PSL franchise to announce Cricket trials abroad. Peshawar Zalmi will conduct talent hunt for talented cricketers in the UK and various European countries.
The PSL franchise president Inzama-ul-Haq said that Zalmi overseas trials will provide opportunity for young cricketers to show their talent.
Cricket Legends Inzamam-Ul-Haq, Hashim Amla, James Foster, Muhammad Akram and Wahab Riaz will be part of the Peshawar Zalmi Talent Hunt Program.
The first phase of Peshawar Zalmi s Talent Hunt will be held from June 28 till July 22 in different cities of UK including London, Birmingham, Leicester, Glasgow, Newcastle, Luton and Bristol.
Peshawar Zalmi chairman Javed Afridi said the purpose of organizing Talent Hunt in UK & Europe is to project a positive image of Pakistan to the world and to convey a message of unity, love and peace through cricket. This initiative, he said, is part of our “Bringing Communities Together” campaign through which we aim to connect various communities via shared interests and social activities.
The franchise Director Cricketing Affairs Muhammad Akram said, “Through Peshawar Zalmi’s Talent Hunt Program, we will find hidden cricket talent across the World and the selected players will play in a "Zalmi Overseas" Cricket team and will feature in already announced Who will become KP’s Champion Tournament to be held this year in Peshawar.”
He said best performing players of this team will get a chance to train and travel with Peshawar Zalmi’s main squad for eighth edition of the Pakistan Super League. We already have international cricket players on our panel through our initiative Global Zalmi where Peshawar Zalmi has connected with cricketers in more than 25 countries of the world”.
