Five die as flood sweeps away passenger van in Balochistan
SIBI (Dunya News) - Atleast five people were killed, including women when flashflood triggered by heavy rains swept away a passenger van in Sibi area of Balochistan on Sunday.
According to details, four people were also injured in the tragic incident and they were shifted to hospital.
The people of Dera Bugti district are facing severe difficulties due to flood caused by the heavy rains. The Basic Health Unit (BHU) building also cracked after it was hit by floodwater.
According to the citizens, staff has not been deployed in BHU yet. The structure built for the convenience of local people with millions of rupees could collapse at any time. While the locals have been trying to stop the flow of water on their own.
Due to accumulation of water on the main road of Sui city, it has become really difficult for the citizens to carry out their everyday tasks.
It was revealed that the road leading to Lanja Ganja has also been damaged. Therefore, locals are finding it difficult to transport patients to hospitals due to road breakdowns.
According to the residents of the area, no action has been taken by the district administration so far.
