Pakistan reports 28 deaths from COVID-19 with 6,137 positive cases
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Pakistan has reported 28 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 1,454,800. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 29,448 on Saturday. According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), 6,137 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
Province-wise Details
Punjab remains the worst-hit province in terms of deaths followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
549,872 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 487,407 in Punjab, 200,710 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 130,872 in Islamabad, 40,355 in Azad Kashmir, 34,711 in Balochistan and 10,873 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Tests and Recoveries
Pakistan has so far conducted 25,322,136 coronavirus tests and 63,413 in the last 24 hours. 1,333,732 patients have recovered in the country whereas 1,649 patients are in critical condition.
Positivity Ratio
The COVID-19 positivity ratio was recorded at 9.67 percent.
Vaccine Statistics
So far, 108,173,867 people have received their first dose of coronavirus vaccine including 896,350 in last 24 hours. 84,731,497 citizens have been fully vaccinated while 785,143 received their second dose in last 24 hours.
The number of total administered doses has reached to 182,396,048 with 1,734,514 in the last 24 hours.
