PM invites Chinese companies to invest in Pakistan's SEZs
BEIJING (Dunya News) - Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday invited the Chinese companies to invest in Pakistan and benefit from the business-friendly policies of the government.
The prime minister, who held a series of meetings with the executives of Chinese State-owned and private corporate sectors, said Pakistan was offering conducive environment for investment in Special Economic Zones (SEZs) under the China Pakistan Economic Corridor.
In his remarks, the prime minister appreciated the keen interest of the Chinese companies to invest in Pakistan.
The executives who met the prime minister included leadership of China Communication Construction Company (CCCC), Huazhong Technology, Zhejiang Seaport Group, Challenge Apparel, Hunan Sunwalk Group, Royal Group, China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC), Zhengbang Group and China Machinery Engineering Corporation (CMEC).
The corporate leaders briefed the prime minister on the progress of their on-going projects in Pakistan.
They evinced keen interest in expanding investments in Pakistan in projects related to recycling of metals and paper, energy, textile, fibre-optics networks, housing, dairy and water management.
The CCCC is a leading global construction and infrastructure development company; Huazhong Technology, specialises in integrated papermaking equipment; Zhejiang Seaport Group is one of China’s largest port operator; Challenge Fashions is a leading textile company; Hunan Sunwalk’s core business is in communications, 3D printing and construction; Royal Group is China’s largest buffalo milk producer; CRBC focuses in civil engineering and construction projects; Zhengbang Group is Jiangxi Province’s largest agricultural enterprise; and CMEC is one of Chinese top agro-industrial machinery company.
The prime minister was joined in the meetings by federal ministers, advisers and senior officials. PM attends opening ceremony of 24th Winter Olympics Games
Along with many world leaders, the Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan attended the opening ceremony of the 24th Winter Olympics Games in Beijing.
China is hosting the 24th Winter Olympics Games for the first time with the participation of Russian President, Emir of Qatar, Tajik President, WHO Chief, UN Secretary General and other world leaders.
Moreover, the Prime Minister Imran Khan was accompanied by are Federal Ministers Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Fawad Chaudhry, Asad Umar and others politician of Pakistani forefront.
Meanwhile, in a video that went viral on social media where PM Imran could be seen having a conversation with the ministers. The Federal Minster for Informantion and Broadacating Chaudhry Fawad Hussain was spoted praising the stadium in Beijing while having a conversation with PM Imran. In response to which the PM said that it is of another level.

Prime Minister (PM) of Pakistan Imran Khan on Friday said that India’s aggressive attitude is threat to regional peace.
The Prime Minister (PM) called on the heads and representatives of leading Chinese think tanks, universities and Pakistan Study Centers.
He also thanked China for its unwavering support to the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir dispute, emphasizing the importance of Pak-China relations and ensuring regional stability and prosperity.
The importance of Pak-China relations in ensuring regional stability and prosperity was also discussed during the meeting.
PM Imran said that the present Indian regime is causing long lasting instability in the region. The continuous atrocities of India are continuing in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). The world should pay attention to the ongoing atrocities of India against Kashmiris.
The Prime Minister (PM) described President Xi Jinping s Belt and Road Initiative as important for the development of the region and said that the first phase of CPEC was focused on infrastructure development and connectivity.
He further added that a cooperation ensuring peace and security in Afghanistan is in the mutual interest of Pakistan and China. The international community should not leave Afghans alone in this difficult time.
