Shahzad said that India has turned Kashmir valley into an open prison

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Leader of House Shahzad Waseem on Friday has said the relationship between Pakistan and Kashmiris is that of brotherhood and affection.

During the key session in Senate, a motion was moved by Leader of House Shahzad Waseem and Leader of Opposition Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani on the current situation in the Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir on the eve of Kashmir Solidarity Day.

Addressing the House, Shahzad Waseem said that India has turned Kashmir valley into an open prison but this has not shaken the resolve of Kashmiri people who continue to lift the flag of freedom movement.

Meanwhile, Leader of Opposition Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani said the people of Pakistan stand shoulder to shoulder with their Kashmiri brothers and sisters in their legitimate struggle for right to self-determination.

The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader strongly condemned Indian atrocities against oppressed Kashmiri people.

He pointed out that India is resorting to tactics aimed at changing the demographic structure of the occupied territory in violation of international laws and conventions.

He said the world community should come forward and resolve this outstanding dispute in accordance with the aspirations of Kashmiri people.
