LAHORE (Dunya News) – National cricket team captain Babar Azam on Monday has declared cricketer of the year 2021 for one-day international (ODI) format.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) congratulated Babar Azam on winning the award.
The skipper had scored 405 runs in six ODIs with an average of 67 runs. Babar also played an outstanding innings against England by scoring 158 runs.
Earlier, International Cricket Council (ICC) named Babar Azam as the captain for the ODI Team of the Year. The ICC Team of the Year recognised 11 outstanding individuals who impressed one and all — be it with the bat, the ball or their all-round exploits in a calendar year.
The Pakistani player was also honored with the title of the captain of the Official ICC Men’s T20 Team of the year.
