Pakistan reports 4,027 coronavirus cases, 9 deaths in 24 hours

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Pakistan has reported 9 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 1,324,147. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 29,012 on Sunday.

According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 4,027 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Province-wise Details

Punjab remains the worst-hit province in terms of deaths followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Till now 13,088 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab, 7,694 in Sindh 5,958 in KP, 969 in Islamabad, 749 in Azad Kashmir, 367 in Balochistan, and 187 in GB.

Furthermore 499,830 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 452,261 in Punjab 182,199 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 110,963 in Islamabad, 34,750 in Azad Kashmir 33,699 in Balochistan and 10,445 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Tests and Recoveries

Pakistan has so far conducted 24,136,709 coronavirus tests and 51,236 in the last 24 hours. 1,263,584 patients have recovered in the country whereas 752 patients are in critical condition.

Positivity Ratio

The COVID-19 positivity ratio was recorded at 7.8 percent.

Vaccine Statistics

So far, 101,457,925 people have received their first dose of coronavirus vaccine including 332,969 in last 24 hours. 76,649,649 citizens have been fully vaccinated while 462,614 received their second dose in last 24 hours.

The number of total administered doses has reached to 166,837,089 with 753,282 in the last 24 hours.
