Betty White did not say she had a COVID-19 booster shortly before her death
(Reuters) - Some social media users are sharing a quotation they attribute to Betty White, in which the late comedic actor allegedly says she received a COVID-19 booster shot on Dec. 28, days before her death. Her representative told Reuters White did not say this.
White, who capped a career of more than 80 years by becoming America s geriatric sweetheart after Emmy-winning roles on television sitcoms "The Golden Girls" and "The Mary Tyler Moore Show," died on Dec. 31, 2021, less than three weeks shy of her 100th birthday. ( here )
The quotation attributed to White on Dec. 28th, 2021 reads: “Eat healthy and get all your vaccines. I just got boosted today.” Iterations are viewable here, here.

“Betty White never said those words NEVER,” Jeff Witjas, Betty White’s manager, told Reuters via email.
Reuters also found no evidence that White ever made this comment.
As evidence, some iterations link to an article published Dec. 28, but this makes no mention of the alleged words.
The article quotes an interview White gave to People Magazine ahead of her 100th birthday, in which she said she was “lucky to be in such good health” ( here ).
Some users sharing this claim allege COVID-19 vaccines were the cause of White’s death. Comments include: “That third jab was the charm. Booster on the 28th, dead on the 31st. Getting jabbed at all is like playing Russian Roulette with a Glock 17, a 9 mm,” and: “Oh so that’s why she died.”
White’s death was confirmed by Witjas on Dec. 31. No cause was immediately cited.
Later addressing the speculation about White’s cause of death, Witjas told People magazine: “People are saying her death was related to getting a booster shot three days earlier but that’s not true. She died of natural causes. Her death should not be politicized — that is not the life she lived."
VERDICT
False. Betty White did not say she got a COVID-19 booster shot on Dec. 28.
