Pakistan's daily COVID-19 case count over 1000 for first time in about three months

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Pakistan has reported 5 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 1,299,848. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 28,955 on Thursday.
According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 1,085 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
Province-wise Details
Punjab remains the worst-hit province in terms of deaths followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Till now 13,076 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab, 7,676 in Sindh 5,938 in KP, 967 in Islamabad, 746 in Azad Kashmir, 366 in Balochistan, and 186 in GB.
Furthermore 484,226 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 446,300 in Punjab 181,573 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 108,984 in Islamabad, 34,682 in Azad Kashmir 33,654 in Balochistan and 10,429 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Tests and Recoveries
Pakistan has so far conducted 23,655,230 coronavirus tests and 46,585 in the last 24 hours. 1,257,847 patients have recovered in the country whereas 636 patients are in critical condition.

The COVID-19 positivity ratio was recorded at 2.32 percent.
Vaccine Statistics
So far, 98,863,864 people have received their first dose of coronavirus vaccine including 303,010 in last 24 hours. 72,995,114 citizens have been fully vaccinated while 448,395 received their second dose in last 24 hours.
The number of total administered doses has reached to 160,651,005 with 750,392 in the last 24 hours.
