Man abducted as a child reunites with family after 30 years by sharing video on Tiktok

(Dunya News) - Social networking service Tiktok saved the day, as a man belonging to some village in China returned to his family after a period of more than 30 years by sharing a video on the application.

Li Jingwei, a man from province Yunnan in China, shared his astonishing life story that how he reunited with his mother. Mr. Li was kidnapped as a child back in 1989 from a small village, and taken 1000 miles away from his family to a house in Lankao. He was bought by an old couple, who got him new clothes. After making a train journey with the old couple, he was later adopted by a loving family.

Stories of other kids reuniting with their loved ones served as an inspiration for Mr. Li to try and reach out to his family members. He shared a Tiktok Video that included a drawing of a map of his village.

In an interview with Chinese outlet The Paper, he explained how he had been drawing pictures of his village since he was a kid. He remembered every detail like the tress, rocks and the bending of rivers. Police matched the map shared by him and succeeded in finding a woman who had reported disappearance of her child. Later, their DNA test concluded the mystery and Mr. Li got reunited with his mother.
