Pakistan achieved target of vaccinating 70 million people by end of 2021: Asad Umar

Pakistan has procured the target of vaccinating 70 million people by the end of 2021.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Chairman National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) Asad Umar on Friday took his Twitter handle to announce that Pakistan has procured the target of vaccinating 70 million people by the end of 2021.
He thanked the concerned teams for their extreme efforts throughout the process. This target could only be achieved by the determination shown by all the concerned people, he added.
Asad Umar shared the following figures in which amongst the federating units, Islamabad leads with 77 % fully vaccinated people. Punjab is at 51 %, Gilgit Baltistan (GB) 46 %, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) 45 %, Balochistan 42 %, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) 41%, and Sindh is at 37 %.
Amongst the Federating units Islamabad leads with 77 % fully vaccinated. Punjab is at 51 %, GB 46 %, AJK 45 %, balochistan 42 %, KP 41%, and sind at 37 %. Of the total eligible population 46 % is fully vaccinated and 63 % has recieved atleast one dose.

Asad Umar further applauded the government by saying that the federation procured 100% of the vaccines worth more than 250 billion and has provided vaccines to all the country’s citizens regardless of the province they live in.
To make this massive vaccination drive possible, the Federal Government has procured vaccines worth nearly Rs. 250 Billion. 100% of vaccine procurement done by the federal government, which has provided free vaccines to all citizens regardless of which province they live in.
