ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Adviser to the Prime Minister on Parliamentary Affairs Dr. Babar Awan says Pakistan is a gateway for Central Asian States.
Advisor to PM said that Pakistan is a land of opportunities for the future of the humanity and the region as well.
The Adviser said that keeping this important location in view, Pakistan is developing a special strategy for business and regional connectivity through different mega projects.
He said that the government will stop horse trading and sale-purchasing of vote in the upper house through amendments in Election Act according to judgment of the Supreme Court of Pakistan and the federal cabinet has approved in principle to table this draft in the parliament.
The Adviser asked the opposition to support the government in the legislation process to ensure transparent, free and fair election in the country through I-voting and E-voting.
He said in the next general elections, over 9 million Pakistan diaspora living abroad will enjoy the right of vote and contribute their role in decision making process.
