NCOC sets Sunday as exclusive day for administration of second dose

Partially vaccinated individuals can get their schedules second jab without waiting for the message
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) on Saturday announced that the partially vaccinated individuals can get their schedules second jab without waiting for the message throughout the week.
The NCOC in an important update said that all people who have had their second dose scheduled can get inoculation from any vaccination center.

The Forum informed that Sunday was set as exclusive day for administration of the second dose.
New restrictions
On the other hand, the forum has enforced special nonpharmaceutical interventions in 24 districts of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad in wake of increasing Covid-19.
According to a letter issued by NCOC in this regard, the NPIs will remain enforced from 4th to 12th of this month.
In Punjab these districts include; Rawalpindi, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Lahore, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Khushab, Mianwali, Bhakar, Khanewal, Multan, Bahawalpur and Rahim Yar Khan. In KP, Peshawar, Swabi, Malakand, Swat, Haripur, Abbottabad, Mansehra and D.I Khan are included.
All federating units were asked to institute robust mechanism for implementation of special NPIs.
Later in the light of recommendations from NCOC, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa banned inter-district transport service in the 8 high-risk districts of the province.
CAA issues new travel guidelines
Earlier today, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) issued new guidelines on air travel in view of the growing number of coronavirus cases.
According to the CAA directives, vaccination against coronavirus has been made mandatory on domestic and international flights from October 1.
It has been stated in the new guidelines that only those passengers will be allowed to travel who have taken two doses of vaccination.
Passengers over the age of 17 will not be allowed on board without a vaccination certificate. There will be rapid PCR tests for passengers traveling to and from abroad.
New cases
Meanwhile, Pakistan reported 79 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 1,175,558. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 26,114.
According to the latest figures issued by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), 3,980 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
Pakistan has conducted 64,053 tests in the past 24 hours out of which 3,980 persons were tested positive for the disease. The COVID Positivity Ratio was recorded at 6.21 percent.
