Asad Umar terms NAB reference against Ahsan Iqbal as 'false'
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Federal Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar has termed the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), reference against Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), leader Ahsan Iqbal as false and said that the case was made on the basis of commencement of a project in his constituency.
According to sources, Asad Umar said this in the National Assembly s Standing Committee meeting on Planning.
In the meeting, Ahsan Iqbal said that NAB filed Narowal Sports City reference against him even the project was made in 2009 during the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), government
Ahsan Iqbal said that the present Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination Fehmida Mirza got four projects approved for her constituency, and raised question that if a reference should be made against her.
He said in the Narowal reference, half of the Ministry of Planning staff has turned approver against him.
