ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Federal Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar on Saturday said that four weeks back only 21 percent of 27.2 million citizens aged 50 and above had received at least one jab of the coronavirus vaccine.
Asad Umar, in a tweet, said that now, after four weeks, 33 percent of the same age group has at least received one jab of the vaccine.
The minister further said that this age group is most vulnerable to serious disease due to coronavirus infection.
Asad Umar, who also heads National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), urged people to ask others especially citizens from this group to get vaccinated against the virus.
