(Web Desk) - Hugh Jackman revealed that he is underwent a skin biopsy over possible risk of cancer scare.

Hugh Jackman has been treated for basal cell carcinoma five times. The actor underwent last treatment in 2017.

The 52-year-old actor took on social media on Monday and shared a video in which he can be seen wearing a nose bandage.

“The doctors saw something that was a little irregular, so they took a biopsy and they’re getting it checked,” Jackman said in the video.

The Australian actor highlighted his situation after the skin biopsy and stressed on the importance of sun screening in his video message.

“Remember, go and get a check and wear sunscreen. Don’t be like me as a kid. Just wear sunscreen,” Jackman advised his fans.

In 2015 Jackman told an international news channel that he, as a child, spent most of his time outside with his siblings in the scorching Australian Sun.

“I don’t think my dad or mom ever bought it or made us put sunscreen on,” Jackman told the media.

Jackman is currently preparing for his Broadway revival of ‘The Music Man” which is opening later this year.
