CM Usman Buzdar directs to continue cleaning operation effectively

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Usman Buzdar has directed the concerned authorities to continue the cleaning operation effectively on the third day of Eid-ul-Adha.
In his statement on Friday, CM Buzdar said that there should be best arrangements for sanitation and cleanliness in the city like yesterday.
He directed that the vehicles allocated for cleaning must continue patroling the streets and neighborhood on regular basis. He further said that the debris should be picked up timely and dispose of properly.
Usman Buzdar said that solid waste management companies and related agencies should not spare any effort in keeping the cities clean. All possible resources have been provided for cleaning the cities, he added.
He further said that the citizens should have no complaints regarding cleanliness as there will be no compromise on cleanliness.
If there is any complaint regarding cleanliness, disciplinary action will be taken against the staff, he maintained adding that the city should look clean at all costs.
He also urged the citizens to contact the cleaning cell and get the debris picked up immediately after sacrificing the animal.
Earlier yesterday, Usman Buzdar paid a detailed visit to different areas of Lahore without any protocol and inspected the sanitation situation in the city.
CM Usman Buzdar inspected the sanitation system in areas of Davis Road, Shimla Pahari, Empress Road, Cooper Road, Montgomery Road, McLeod Road and Lakshmi Chowk.
Usman Buzdar also observed the cleaning arrangements in Mayo Hospital Road, Mall Road, Multan Road, Lytton Road, Ferozepur Road, Shah Jamal, Shadman and other areas.
The chief minister drove around in the city for about two hours. No traffic was stopped at any place during this time. He stopped his vehicle and spoke to the cleaning workers as well.
CM Buzdar commended the workers for performing their duties to provide a clean environment to the citizens. He also directed them to make the cleaning operation more speedy and efficient.
On the ocassion, he said that the Zero Waste Operation should be ensured in the city at all costs as there will be no compromise on cleanliness. Garbage and rubbish should be picked up as soon as possible, he added.
