Pakistan wants peace in Afghanistan, says DG ISI

Lt Gen Faiz Hameed said Pakistan is working for a greater cause in the region.
TASHKENT (Dunya News) – Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Director General Lieutenant General Faiz Hameed on Friday said that Pakistan wants peace in Afghanistan but in reality infiltration is occurring from Afghanistan.
He said that the hideouts of terrorists are in Afghanistan, adding that Pakistan is working for a greater cause in the region.
Lt Gen Faiz Hameed went on to say that a peaceful Afghanistan is in the interest of Pakistan and other countries, adding that Pakistan armed forces personnel were being targeting at the Pak-Afghan border.
Refereeing to the Afghan allegations, the DG ISI further said that the situation would not improve if such allegations are levelled.
