Pakistan, Uzbekistan agree to promote economic partnership

Both the foreign ministers also exchanged views on the Afghan Peace Process.
ANKARA (Dunya News) – Pakistan and Uzbekistan have agreed to promote economic partnership and to undertake joint efforts for peace in the region.
The understanding reached during a meeting between Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and his Uzbekistan counterpart Abdulaziz Kamilov held on the sidelines of Antalya Diplomatic Forum in Turkey.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi said promotion of economic cooperation is the top priority of the government of Pakistan. He said Pakistan wants to enhance interactions with the Central Asian States, including Uzbekistan.
Both the foreign ministers also exchanged views on the Afghan Peace Process.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi said peace in Afghanistan is imperative not only for Afghanistan, but for the development and progress of the entire region.
