Pakistan, Russia sign agreement to build Pakistan Stream gas pipeline

Pakistan desires strategic partnership with Russia and looks forward to enhanced bilateral relations

ISLAMABAD (Dunya news) – Pakistan and Russia have signed an agreement to build the Pakistan Stream gas pipeline, Foreign Office said on Friday.

Russian Energy Minister Nikolai Shulginov and Pakistan s ambassador in Moscow Shafqat Ali Khan signed the Protocol on the amendments to the Agreement on North-South Gas Pipeline Project in Moscow, the foreign office said in series of tweets.

As per the Protocol the Project has been renamed as "Pakistan Stream Gas Pipeline". The pipeline will run from Karachi to Kasur for transportation of gas.

The Project is a flagship strategic venture between Pakistan and Russia and will strengthen bilateral cooperation.

Pakistan desires a strategic partnership with Russia and looks forward to enhanced bilateral relations in all fields of mutual interest.
