Two killed, six injured in cylinder explosion in Karachi

Rescue sources said 40-year-old Asif and six-year-old Abdul Hadi died before reaching hospital.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – At least two persons were killed and six other were wounded when a cylinder exploded in an under-construction four-storey building in Karachi on Wednesday, Dunya News reported.
According to details, a cylinder exploded in an under-construction building in Liaquatabad No 9 area of Karachi due to which a portion of the building collapsed burying several persons under the debris.
Rescue teams reached the spot and retrieved eight persons from the rubble in injured condition. The injured persons were rushed to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital but 40-year-old Asif and six-year-old Abdul Hadi succumbed to their wounds before reaching hospital.
Police and bomb disposal squad also reached the spot and declared the area clear. Police have ruled out any act of terrorism in the incident.
