Inspector, sub-inspector awarded with cash prizes for stopping Shehbaz Sharif at airport
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has awarded cash prizes and certificates of appreciation to the inspector and sub-inspector who stopped Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president and opposition leader in National Assembly (NA) Shehbaz Sharif at Lahore airport from traveling abroad. Inspector Razia and Sub-inspector Aijaz Ahmed had barred Shehbaz Sharif from traveling abroad without any pressure. Sources told that FIA director Punjab zone Dr Rizwan handed over the prizes to the security personnel. It is to be mentioned here that Minister for Interior Sheikh Rashid had announced that the name of PML-N president was included in Exit Control List (ECL).
National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had recommended to put Shehbaz Sharif’s name on the ECL as it was investigating a corruption case of seven billion rupees against him, he pointed. On May 7, the LHC gave one-time permission to Oppositon Leader of National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif to go abroad for medical treatment.
However, the federal government had barred him from travelling abroad and announced to challenge the court’s decision.
