Implementation of SOPs need to be tightened in Lahore: Dr Yasmin

Dr Yasmin said so far more than 2.25 million people have been vaccinated in Punjab

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid on Sunday said that the number of coronavirus should have been reduced but it did not happen as the number of cases in the provincial capital were still high.

Speaking exclusively in Dunya News program “Nuqta e Nazar”, she said that the implementation of the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) will have to be tightened in Lahore.

The provincial minister said that registered vaccines have been allowed by the government and anyone can order them, adding that we also have data of vaccines of the private sector.

Dr Yasmin went on to say that so far more than 2.25 million people have been vaccinated in Punjab, adding that NADRA issues a card after receiving two Covid-19 jabs as the NCOC shares all the information with NADRA.

Regarding closure of educational institutions, the provincial health minister said that the closure of schools was very painful, adding that a lot of children s time is wasted.
