PM commends FBR on achieving growth in tax collections

FBR achieved growth of 57% in April 2021 with collections recorded at Rs 384 billion.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan Saturday commended the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on achieving growth in tax collection, leading to broad-based economic revival.

The premier took to Twitter and said the FBR achieved growth of 57% in April 2021 with collections recorded at Rs 384 billion as compared to Rs 240 billion in April 2020.

Imran Khan added that during July-April, collections reached Rs 3780 billion – 14% higher than same period last year. It shows our policies have led to broad-based economic revival, he said.
