Gold prices increase Rs 100 to Rs 104,100 per tola

The price of 10 gram 24 karat gold also increased by Rs 86 and was sold at Rs89,249

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The price of 24 karat per tola gold increased by Rs 100 on Thursday and was sold at Rs104,100 against its sale at Rs104,000, Karachi Sarafa and Jewellers Group reported.

The price of 10 gram 24 karat gold also increased by Rs 86 and was sold at Rs89,249 against its sale at Rs89,163.

The price of per tola silver remained unchanged and was sold at Rs1350 whereas the price of ten gram silver also remained unchanged and was sold at Rs1157.40.

The gold price in the international market increased by US $5 and was traded at US $1786 as compared US $1781.

Jewelery exports increase 

On the other hand, Jewelery exports during first nine months of FY 2020-21 grew by 130.48 per cent as compared to the exports of the corresponding period of last year.

During the period from July 20-March 21, Jewelery worth US $ 6,544 thousand were exported as compared to worth US $ 3,216 thousand of same period of last year.

According to the data released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS), the exports of Gems were increased by 67.38 per cent, worth US $ 5,850 thousand were exported as compared to the exports of US $ 3,495 thousand of same period of last year.

Meanwhile, furniture exports increased by 17.18 per cent, worth US $ 3,377 thousand were exported in current financial year as compared to the exports of valuing US $ 2,882 thousand of same period of last year.

During the period under view, exports of Handicrafts were increased by 100 per cent as US $ 5 thousand worth were exported in current financial year as compared to the exports of valuing nil of same period last year.
