Rupee falls by 06 paisa against USD

The greenback closed at Rs152.99
KARACHI (Dunya News) – The exchange rate of US Dollar increased by 06 paisa in the interbank on Tuesday against Pakistani rupee. The greenback closed at Rs152.99 on second business day of the week compared to previous closing of 152.93.

However, since start of April, dollar has declined by 31 paisa or 0.2 percent. The greenback has lost 15.4 rupees or 9.6 percent of its value from its peak of 168.43 in August 2020.
Meanwhile, the price of euro appreciated by 91 paisa and closed at Rs184.66 against the last working day’s trading of Rs183.75, the State Bank of Pakistan reported.
The Japanese Yen closed at Rs1.41, whereas an increase of 1.87 rupees was witnessed in the exchange rate of British Pound, which was traded at Rs214.1 as compared to its last closing of Rs212.23.
The exchange rates of Emirates Dirham and Saudi Riyal increased by 1 paisa each to close at Rs41.65 and Rs40.79 respectively.
