Two men accused of murdering ATC Judge and family arrested

SWABI (Dunya News) – In a significant development in the murder case of ATC Judge Aftab Afridi and his family, Swabi police have arrested two men accused of the murder and also recovered the vehicle used in the incident.

District Police Officer (DPO) Swabi Muhammad Shoaib told in a press conference that Abdul Majeed, the son of the slain judge, had registered a case against unknown persons in which the cause of the crime was said to be old enmity. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Inspector General of Police Sanaullah Abbasi formed a committee headed by Regional Police Officer Mardan to investigate the case.

He said that DPO Swabi and a team led by Regional Police Officer Mardan started a scientific investigation into the incident after which the accused, Aziz Khan and Dawood, were arrested and the vehicle used in the incident was also seized.

He said that the accused had given up all details during the interrogation and now, efforts are being made to arrest the remaining persons involved in the murder.
