Coronavirus positivity rate reaches 6.1pc in Balochistan

At least 70 more persons were tested positive for COVID-19 in the province in the last 24 hours.

QUETTA (Dunya News) - Balochistan Health Department in a statement on Monday said that coronavirus positivity rate in Balochistan has reached 6.1 percent, Dunya News reported.

Balochistan Health Department also informed that at least 70 more persons were tested positive for the deadly disease in the province in the last 24 hours while 19,185 affected patients have been recovered from the coronavirus so far.

Meanwhile, Pakistan has reported 43 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 692,231. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 14,821 on Monday.

According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 4,323 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Punjab remains the worst-hit province in terms of deaths followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Till now 6,587 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 4,509 in Sindh, 2,457 in KP, 583 in Islamabad, 371 in Azad Kashmir, 211 in Balochistan, and 103 in GB.
