England puts Pakistan on red list in wake of coronavirus

The restrictions will be implemented from April 9.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – England has on Friday put Pakistan on red list and banned visit visas to protect itself from new variants of coronavirus.
The restrictions will be implemented from April 9 and passengers going to England from Pakistan will be quarantined at hotel for ten days after paying Rs 3.68 lac.

— Christian Turner (@CTurnerFCDO) April 2, 2021On the other hand, Pakistan has reported 83 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 678,165. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 14,613.
According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), 5,234 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours – highest numbers since June 20, 2020.
Punjab remains the worst-hit province by the pandemic in terms of deaths followed by Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. Most numbers of cases have been reported in Sindh.
Till now 265,917 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 225,953 in Punjab, 89,255 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 19,610 in Balochistan, 59,401 in Islamabad, 12,984 in Azad Kashmir and 5,045 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Furthermore, 6,485 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab, 4,504 in Sindh, 2,382 in KP, 209 in Balochistan, 572 in Islamabad, 358 in Azad Kashmir and 103 in GB.
Pakistan has so far conducted 10,297,544 coronavirus tests and 50,170 in the last 24 hours. 607,205 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas 3,384 patients are in critical condition.
