Amitabh Bachchan, Emraan Hashmi starrer 'Chehre' postponed due to COVID-19

MUMBAI (Online) - Bollywood actors Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi starrer ‘Chehre’ is one of the first Bollywood casualties resulting from the rise in COVID-19 cases. The film’s trailer received a positive response from the audience and was scheduled to hit the screens on April 9, 2021. However due to the spike in COVID-19 cases, the makers of ‘Chehre’ have decided to delay its release.
Sharing a message from Team ‘Chehre’, Emraan Hashmi wrote, “The well-being of our very own audience is of utmost importance to us. We are extremely humbled by the love and support that we have received this far. See you in the cinemas soon. Until then, stay safe!” Anand Pandit, the producer of ‘Chehre’, shared"Considering the situation and safety of our audiences and fans which is of utmost importance to us, we have decided to postpone our film ‘Chehre’. The team has taken immense efforts to make it a great cinematic experience and we are looking forward to our audiences coming to the theatres safely."
Starring Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi in the lead, ‘Chehre’ is a mystery-thriller. Directed by Rumy Jafry, the film also stars Annu Kapoor, Rhea Chakraborty, Krystle D’Souza, and Siddhanth Kapoor among others. With the film’s release being pushed, the makers are yet to announce the new release date.
