NAB has obtained new evidences against Maryam Nawaz.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has again summoned Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice-president Maryam Nawaz in the Chaudhry Sugar Mills case on March 26 in Lahore office.
Sources privy to the matter have on Wednesday informed Dunya News that the anti-corruption watchdog has obtained new evidences in the case and the PML-N leader will be investigated in light of fresh data.
Maryam Nawaz has been accused money laundering worth billions of rupees. She was previously summoned by the anti-graft body on August 11, 2020 in the illegal land transfer case but the hearing was adjourned after a clash erupted between the PML-N workers and police.
It is pertinent here to mention that the Lahore High Court (LHC) earlier sought reply from Maryam Nawaz on April 7 on a NAB plea challenging her bail in the Chaudhry Sugar Mills case.
NAB lawyer told the LHC that PML-N leader is misusing her bail and not appearing before the anti-graft watchdog. Maryam Nawaz had pelted stones at the NAB office with the help of her activists, he alleged.
