He said Punjab government has announced Ramazan Relief Package worth Rs 7 billion

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar on Tuesday said that Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) took notice of Daska by-elections but ignored horse trading in Senate elections.

Addressing a press conference in Lahore on Tuesday, he said that there has been propaganda against me from day one, but I still do my job, adding, “I don t care about the criticism of the opponents, I have come to serve the people and that is my mission.”

Buzdar said that relief would be provided to the people of the province, adding that the provincial government will also provide relief to the salaries of the provincial employees just as the federation would increase the salaries of the employees.

He went on to say that the Punjab government has announced Ramazan Relief Package worth Rs 7 billion, while fruits, vegetables and groceries will be available in Ramadan bazaars at 2018 rates.

Regarding situation of Covid-19 pandemic in the country, the chief minister said that the third wave of coronavirus has started and the number of cases were increasing day by day.

CM Buzdar said: “It s important for everyone to wear a mask. Protecting the lives of citizens is paramount. A total of 114 centers have been set up across the province to vaccinate senior citizens against corona. All kinds of facilities are being provided to the senior citizens in the centers.”
