Imran Khan will be victorious, provided Senate election is transparent: Hafeez Shaikh
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Finance Minister Abdul Hafeez Shaikh has said that Imran Khan has a clear majority in the National Assembly. If the Senate election is free and transparent, Imran Khan will be the victor.
Talking to Dunya News, Federal Minister for Finance Abdul Hafeez Shaikh said that Senate elections are an important part of democratic process in Pakistan and that he wants them to be fair and transparent.
Abdul Hafeez Sheikh said that the government wants Senate election to be held without any exchange of money, adding that the contest is not between him and Yousaf Raza Gillani, but between two political alliances.
"Our allies stand united with us," he said. All the coalition parties will work together to make the ruling coalition a success.
