Dollar falls by almost 10 rupees since August 2020

The greenback closed at Rs158.46 rupees.
KARACHI (Dunya News) - The exchange rate of US Dollar has fallen by almost 10 rupees or six percent since August 2020.
As per State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), dollar on February 25 closed at 158.46 rupees showing a fall of 30 paisa. Dollar on August 26 closed at 168.43 rupees.
Drop in dollar would reduce debt burden on Pakistan by 1096 billion rupees.
A day earlier, rupee had also gained against greenback which closed at 158.76 in the interbank market on Wednesday.
It is to be mentioned here that Pakistani Rupee appreciates when lesser amount of rupees are required to get one USD. On the other hand, PKR depreciates when more rupees are required to get one greenback.
