Sindh bans use of CNG, LPG in public transport

KARACHI (Dunya News) - The Sindh government has banned the use of compressed natural gas (CNG) and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) as fuel in all public service vehicles (PSVs) across the province, Dunya News reported on Wednesday.

The letter from Sindh Transport Department to traffic and motorway police and other concerned agencies states that the use of CNG and LPG cylinders in intercity transport, school vans, buses, coaches, rickshaws and other public transport has been banned.

The letter further said that action would also be taken against the filling stations providing CNG and LPG to public service vehicles.
