Voting in by-election in PS-88, PS-43 and PB-20 underway

Voting started at 8:00 AM and will continue till 5:00 PM without any interval.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Voting for by-elections on two Sindh Assembly constituencies and one Balochistan Assembly constituency is underway on Tuesday, Dunya News reported.
According to details, voting in by-polls in two Sindh Assembly constituencies, PS-88-Karachi and PS-43-Sanghar and on Balochistan Assembly constituency PB-20-Pishin started at 8:00am and will continue till 5:00pm without any interval.
Sources said that 20 candidates are contesting PS-88-Karachi by-election. At least 108 polling stations have been set up in the constituency out of which 36 have been declared sensitive and 33 have been declared most sensitive.
Harsh words have been exchanged between Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidate and polling agent over violation of code of conduct in PS-88 Malir. In PB-20 Pishin, the police officers resorted to baton charged after workers clashed with each other.
Meanwhile, Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has ordered PTI lawmaker and Opposition Leader in Sindh Assembly Haleem Adil Sheikh to leave the constituency over exhibition of weapons.
On the other hand, in PS-43-Sanghar, the main contest is between candidates of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and PTI. The Pakistan Muslim League- Functional (PML-F) chief Pir Pagara has extended his party’s support for the PTI in the by election.
A close contest is expected between Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) candidate and the joint candidate of Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) in by-polls in PB-20-Pishin. The seat fell vacant after the death of MPA Fazal Agha.
