Price of 20-kg bag of flour rises by up to Rs 366 in just one week
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Inflation is on the rise across the country with a 20 kg bag of flour becoming Rs 366 dearer in just one week. Other items of daily use have also seen their prices rise.
According to a report released by the Bureau of Statistics, in the span of one week, the price of a 20 kg bag of flour rose by up to Rs 366. Flour prices rose by Rs 366 in Sialkot and by Rs 20 in Karachi, Bannu, Larkana and Khuzdar.
The report says that flour is most expensive in Hyderabad and Karachi at Rs 1360 and Rs 1320 respectively.
According to the BOS, sugar prices rose by Rs 5 per kg in Sialkot, Gujranwala, Multan, Peshawar and Larkana and by Rs 4 in Faisalabad, Sargodha, Sukkur and Bahawalpur.
Sugar price rose by Rs 2 per kg in Bannu, Khuzdar and Hyderabad while citizens of Islamabad, Rawalpindi and Peshawar are buying sugar at the most expensive rate of Rs 100 per kg.
