Pakistan reports 33 deaths by coronavirus, 1,270 new cases in 24 hours

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan has reported 33 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 560,363. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 12,218 on Friday.
According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), 1,270 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
Province-wise Details
Sindh remains the worst-hit province by the pandemic in terms of cases followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. Most numbers of casualties have been reported in Punjab.
Till now 252,719 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 162,875 in Punjab, 69,164 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 18,916 in Balochistan, 42,401 in Islamabad, 9,359 in Azad Kashmir and 4,929 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Furthermore 4,994 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab, 4,183 in Sindh, 1,980 in KP, 197 in Balochistan, 483 in Islamabad, 279 in Azad Kashmir and 102 in GB.
Tests and Recoveries
Pakistan has so far conducted 8,360,823 coronavirus tests and 35,280 in the last 24 hours. 518,164 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas 1,743 patients are in critical condition.
