Dense fog disrupts flight operation at Lahore airport

The Motorway police have also requested the people to stay home and avoid unnecessary travelling.
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Dense fog has blanketed several cities of Punjab including Lahore on night between Thursday and Friday, badly disrupting the road traffic and flight operation at the Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport, Dunya News reported.
The flight operation at the Allama Iqbal International Airport was disrupted as the visibility was very low and eight flights from Lahore were delayed while nine incoming flights were diverted to other airports.
According to details, the visibility has dropped below 50 metres on main roads in plain areas across the province due to which Motorway section from Lahore to Pindi Bhattian (M2) and Motorway section from Lahore to Samundri (M3) have been closed at for all kind of traffic.
The Motorway police have also requested the people to stay home and avoid unnecessary travelling. Dense fog has also disrupted traffic at several places in the province at the National Highway due to low visibility.
