TLP postpones protest after agreement with government

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) has Thursday postponed its protest, scheduled on February 16, after finalizing an agreement with the incumbent government.
Prime Minister Imran Khan talked to media and confirmed about the agreement. An official team is negotiating with TLP, he said while adding that the party’s demand will be discussed in the parliament.
The premier added that TLP has postponed the protest till April 20. Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Noor-ul-Haq Qadri and Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid signed the agreement on behalf of the government.
Furthermore, the names of the TLP leaders will be excluded from the fourth schedule list. The agreement will be canceled if any party commits any violation.
