ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has suffered a major setback ahead of the Senate elections as Sardar Khurram Leghari, a Punjab Assembly member from Muzaffargarh, has decided to leave the party.
Talking to Dunya News, Sardar Khurram Leghari said that he had joined PTI after winning as an independent candidate in the elections. He said that there is no use to stay in the PTI if it cannot solve problems of the people.
He claimed that five other members of the Provincial assembly would leave the PTI with him.
It may be recalled that Sardar Khurram Leghari was elected Member Punjab Assembly from PP-275 in the general elections. He will announce his reasons for leaving the party at a formal press conference.
He said that he had raised issues of the constituency several times, but no steps were taken to resolve them. Imran Khan chanted the slogan of youth but later gave it up. The only question from Imran Khan is that where is the youth today, he added.
He raised the question that where are Imran Khan s Tigers today.
