Anderson has avenged his great-grandfather, Shoaib trolls Indians
LAHORE (Web Desk) - Former Pakistani fast bowler known as Rawalpindi Express Shoaib Akhtar set Indians on fire by sharing a post on Facebook in which he wrote that ‘Anderson has avenged his great-grandfather’ following Indian defeat in the first Test match against England at Chennai cricket stadium.
It may be recalled that India had recently won the fourth Test match against Australia by chasing 328 runs. The Indian team became the first team to beat the Australian team in this ground since the West Indies in 1988 and won the four-match series by 1-2.
In the Chennai Test yesterday, England had given India a target of 420 runs to win, but the hosts were bowled out for 192 in the second session of the last day.
Shoaib Akhtar shared a photo on Facebook featuring the English villain of the 2001 Indian film Lagaan and England fast bowler James Anderson.
The caption to the photo states that ‘Anderson has avenged his great-grandfather today’.
Earlier, former England cricket captain Kevin Pietersen s tweet in roman Hindi shocked the Indians. Kevin Pietersen trolled India s 227-run defeat to England in the Chennai Test, referring to the past in an interesting way.
In a message shared on the micro-blogging site Twitter, Kevin Pietersen mocked the Indian team in roman Hindi and wrote, referring to India s Test series win in Australia,
"India, remember I had warned you after you won against Australia at their home ground that do not celebrate too much.”
