Pakistan reports 62 deaths by coronavirus, 1,072 new cases in one day

Pakistan has so far conducted 8,288,091 coronavirus tests
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Pakistan has reported 62 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 557,591. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 12,128 on Wednesday.
According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 1,072 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
Province-wise Details
Sindh remains the worst-hit province by the pandemic in terms of cases followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad.
Till now 251,758 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 161,757 in Punjab 68,786 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 42,188 in Islamabad, 18,891 in Balochistan, 9,291 in Azad Kashmir and 4,920 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Furthermore 4,948 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 4,157 in Sindh, 1,970 in KP, 481 in Islamabad, 273 in Azad Kashmir, 197 in Balochistan, and 102 in GB.
Tests and Recoveries
Pakistan has so far conducted 8,288,091 coronavirus tests and 31,713 in the last 24 hours. 514,951 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas 1,744 patients are in critical condition.
