Disqualification case: ECP imposes Rs 50,000 fine on Faisal Vawda

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Tuesday imposed a fine of Rs 50,000 on Federal Minister for Water Resources Faisal Vawda in disqualification case.
A five-member bench headed by Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sikandar Sultan Raja conducted hearing on disqualification petitions against the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and summoned him in person during the next hearing.
Faisal Vawda’s counsel did not appear before the ECP and the plaintiff requested to stop Vawda from working as federal minister. The hearing was adjourned till February 24.
