ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – At least four persons were crushed to death by a speeding Land Cruiser owned by the husband of Kashmala Tariq at the Srinagar Highway in Islamabad on Monday night.

It is alleged that the husband and son of Kashmala Tariq were travelling in the vehicle which was driven by the driver.

Police have arrested the driver and also seized the vehicle involved in the accident. Two persons were also wounded in the accident. The dead and injured were shifted to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) Hospital.

Sources also informed that husband and son of Kashmala Tariq managed to escape from the scene after the accident. Rescue sources said that three of the deceased were identified as Anis, Farooq and Haider.

As per latest development, a case has been lodged nominating former MNA‘s son.

Federal Ombudsman for Anti-Harassment Kashmala Tariq, while reacting to last night’s accident in Islamabad, has said that the allegations against her husband and son are baseless.

Expressing grief over the accident, Kashmala Tariq said that four precious lives were lost that night and she prayed a lot for them.

"I have no words to express my condolences to their mothers," she said.

However, she complained of being subjected to a media trial and urged the Prime Minister to review the footage from FWO and take action based on facts.
