5-yr-old from Multan carjacked father's SUV to buy ice-cream
MULTAN (Dunya News) - The video of a five-year-old boy in Multan driving a full size SUV on the city’s busiest highway went viral a few days ago.
The vehicle and its owner, the child’s father, were later tracked down by police and he was slapped with a Rs1000 fine. The father also submitted an undertaking, saying that such recklessness shall never be repeated.
Fahad Khan, the boy driving the SUV, was later interviewed revealing that he wanted to buy ice-cream for himself but since his father was asleep, he took the keys to the SUV and drove off by himself.
On January 25, the child was filmed driving a Land Cruiser on Bosan Road, Multan’s busiest road. Strangely, the child was not stopped despite the presence of several traffic wardens and police check points along the way.
After the video went viral, the traffic police sprung into action and started collecting footage from CCTV cameras along the route to get to the owner.
